The Stockton Community Teachers Association will host the Board of Education Candidate Forum on March 19, 2020. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the High School Library. During the event, candidates will be given an opportunity to respond to the following questions:
As a potential board member, what is your highest priority?
The governor supports increasing teacher salaries, but does not plan to increase funding for this initiative. Where do you stand on this issue, and how would you plan to keep teacher salaries competitive?
Stockton School District has seen a steady decline in enrollment during the past few years. Moving forward, what do you see as the fiscal priorities as the enrollment and budget decreases?
How do you feel about homeschool students participating in Stockton school extracurricular activities?
What could be done to increase parent involvement?
The public is encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be provided.


Stockton High School Students: This is a friendly reminder that ALL money is due for prom tomorrow, March 6th. This includes any underclassmen dues and/or guest fee. The cost for guest/underclassman is $100. Please bring all dues and/or guest fees to Mrs. Vaughn in the HS Library. Table sign-ups will begin next Tuesday, March 10th, in the library.

Miss A. Bland’s class is celebrating Dr. Seuss week! They are reading, writing, and creating projects based on his fun and imaginative books!



Kindergarten Screening for 2020-2021 is April 20th from 10 am- 7 pm. It will be held in the elementary cafeteria. This is the only day we will be doing screening. If you have a child who will be 5 years of age by August 1st, they are eligible for Kindergarten. Please contact Teresa Farwell at 417-276-5143 ext 380 to schedule a screening time. Your child cannot be screened without an appointment. You must have shot records and birth certificate. The first day of school is August 25th. Incoming Kindergarten, 8th grade and Seniors will be required to have their booster shots and proof of those shots. Please reach out to your local health department at 417-276-6416 or your primary care doctor for booster shots. According to state regulations your child cannot attend school without required vaccinations. Please help spread the word.

Reminder: The Father-Daughter Dance is this coming Saturday. Return forms and payment to your child’s teacher by Friday to save money on admission!
Tickets are $20 in advance. If you would like to add to the initial pair (siblings, stepfathers, grandfathers, etc.), then it’s $5 per additional person. The initial cost moves to $25 at the door.
Come enjoy this year’s black-out dance!


Congratulations to the Tiger basketball team for their victory over Buffalo. The Tigers will play again on Saturday at 6:30 vs Butler for the Class 3 District 10 championship. A pep bus for grades 9-12 will leave from the high school at 4:45. Cost is $5 which is you admission to the game. Come out and support the team.

The Stockton High School History Bowl competed at SBU on February 27, 2020. Pictured on the top is Team 2 who took 3rd place: Michael Brown, Cameron Akins, Taylor Winchell, Kaitlyn Creek, Caleb Morton and Brendan Barber.

SHS Student Council presented $152 to Mrs Stephanie Johnson for the Special Olympics program. StuCo sold homework passes to the student body to raise the money. Go Tigers!
