Earlier this month, first graders showed off their research and speaking skills at the PTO Living Museum Night. Student chose a famous person to research, wrote reports, and created a visual display. They even dressed up to present their speeches as their famous person. Great job first graders!

Elementary Parents-
Starting Tuesday March 31st there will be new packets of work for you to pick up. Pick will be in the cafeteria. You will need to come to the cafeteria parking lot. We will have staff there to bring your packets to you. Pick up times will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The teachers have reached out to you and asked if you prefer digital homework or paper packets. Approximately 90% of you prefer paper packets. We will move forward using paper packets. We strongly encourage you to use the online resources we have given such as Zearn, EPIC, google classroom, etc.
Teachers will be posting a YOUTUBE video Tuesday morning. Take the time to watch this. We need you to check DOJO or Learning Genie daily as information may change very quickly.
We have really enjoyed digital spirit week. Continue to send us pictures and videos.

Parents/Students,
With the ever evolving Covid-19 guidelines, I want to make sure that everyone understands if we continue to be out of school, Prom may have to be postponed and/or canceled. A final decision will be made later next week. If Prom is canceled, all underclassmen and outside date fees will be reimbursed.
Thanks for your understanding.

Congratulations to Cassidy Duncan and Kaitlyn Hedrick for being named Academic All State in basketball. Way to go ladies!

Attention MS parents: Next week’s academic packets are now available online on our teacher webpages. Paper copies will be available for pickup next Tuesday through Thursday 9:00am to 11:00am in the hallway by the MS office. Thank you.

Virtual Spirit Week has been so much fun so far! Let's keep it going for Wildlife Wednesday. Take your pics and send them in to tigerpride@stockton.k12.mo.us. House pets, squirrels in your backyard, take a walk on the trail and show us your favorite wildlife.

It was March Madness Picturebook Edition! Earlier this month, 2nd grade classes asked all of the elementary teachers to give them their favorite picture book. They got together to read them and then vote for their favorites. The winner was "The Brain is Kind of a Big Deal" sent to us from 4th grade teacher Mrs. Bays.
Hey kids! What's your favorite book you've read this past week?

Day 2 of our Virtual Spirit week is Tik Tok Tuesday! Send your videos into tigerpride@stockton.k12.mo.us

Due to the current situation, the format of the Board of Education Candidate Forum scheduled for Thursday evening has been changed. Rather than holding this as a public event, the candidates will share their responses to the previously posted questions during a Facebook Live event. The event is scheduled for 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening.

Home delivery of free breakfast and lunch is available for all children under the age of 18 in the Stockton R-1 School District while we are out of school during the Coronavirus isolation. Check our Facebook page or call the office by Wednesday, March 18th at 3:00 pm. You must sign up by the deadline so we can plan.

On advice from the Cedar County Health Department, Stockton Schools will close starting Wednesday, March 18 through March 27th. A decision will be made at that time whether to return to school or not. During this time, all activities, including practices, games, and student meetings will be canceled.

See the attached letter regarding school closure. We will be in session on Tuesday, March 17th, but close for COVID-19 from March 18-March 27th. At that time, it will be re-evaluated.

Our High School students were inspired by our Middle School students and made their own weekly video. Here is something fun to start your week! https://youtu.be/aO9RUqlKFAM
