Middle School Students and Parents:
5th grade orientation is this evening (Aug. 14) from 5:00-6:00. We will have a 5th grade meeting in the middle school library at 5:15.
JAG orientation meeting tonight (Aug. 14) 6:00-7:00 in the JAG room.
6-8th grade open house is August 15 5:00-7:00
All 8th grade students will need booster shots or an exemption form completed before they start school.
Please see the 2025 vaccine requirements for school attendance, available on the school nurse page.
Students without proof of up to date vaccines or exemption on file will not be allowed to be in attendance.

Last Saturday, Miss. Vincent took the Stockton High School Art Club on a field trip to the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum ✅ While visiting the museum they saw:

• Buddhism Art
• Native American Art
As well as a painting that looked a lot like a student lol 😆And many more! What a great trip by the Stockton High School Art Club!

I recently entered some of my Art 3 & 4 student's art into the Congressional Art Show for the 4th District of Missouri. This year’s theme for the Congressional Art Show was, “AGRICULTURE.”
The results came back and I am so excited to say that Isabella Hindman and Vanessa Nail placed as finalists in the Top 25!
Isabella Hindman's two artworks were, "A Walk By the Pond" and "Bound By Blood." The artwork titled, " A Walk By the Pond," is melted crayons of her dog Pepper on a walk they had taken by a pond, and "Bound By Blood," is a photograph of herself and her two younger siblings in a field by a pond.
Vanessa Nail's artwork was called "The Farmhouse Window," which is an acrylic painting done on paper of a farmhouse window with farm animals peeking through with a barn and windmill in the background.
Congratulations Isabella and Vanessa for achieving this big accomplishment! Their artwork will be moving forward as an art exhibition that will be on display for the next 12 months within the Congressional Offices of the 4th district for Raymore, Columbia, and Lebanon as well as some wall space in the Congressman's Washington D.C. office.
This is a big accomplishment for our students because this allows for their artwork to be seen by a wider audience and being recognized for their accomplishment of placing within the Top 25 is a great addition to their resumes and gets their names out there as artists.

The high school art students competed against ten schools that had close to 350 entries of artwork at this year's conference. Way to go Stockton Tiger High School Art Students!
Congratulations to our FFA advisors and members. The Stockton FFA chapter qualified 7 teams for state competition. They included Forestry, Meats, Agronomy, Ag Mechanics, Chapter Meeting Conduct, Soils, and Dairy Foods. The state competition will be held in Columbia on April 17th-19th. Well done!
Last Friday HS Art Teacher, Miss Vincent, took a group of art students to Pittsburg State University where they experienced what it was like to be an art student in the art department. They toured the art department, university art gallery, met the professors, learned about available art courses and participated in an art workshop focused on Concept Art where they played games that challenged their creativity and artistic abilities to create characters that they then turned into trading cards. They also got a personal guided campus tour from Miss Vincent (a Pittsburg State Alumni) where they learned about all of the buildings and what programs are available at PSU. What a great day for our students. Thank you Miss Vincent!
