Stockton Schools will be closed - Tuesday-February 18. This is AMI #2. Teachers will be available between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The predicted weather model has been consistent. Snow should begin early in the morning and accumulate very quickly.

Stockton will be closed Thursday February 13th. While the main roads are clear I just spent an hour sliding all over our county roads.
This is AMI Day #1. Students will need to check in with google classroom or complete packets and return Friday. If you do not have internet access packets will be given when we return to school.
Stockton school is cancelled tomorrow -Wednesday February 12th. Bridges and overpasses are already getting slick and we are forecasted to get snow starting early morning. Based on this forecast I feel road conditions will worsen. I would rather give you a chance to plan for tomorrow than do a last minute call in the morning.

We would like to announce Summer Kenney as our Stockton Junior High Volleyball coach for the 2025-26 school year. Coach Kenney is a Stockton High School alum, who has a wide range of experience in both volleyball and basketball earning all-state honors. She recently finished up her volleyball career at Mission University in Springfield, MO where she received AMC 1st Team All Conference, 1st Team All Tournament Team, AMC Academic All-State, and 2x 2nd Team Central Region honors. She also brings in some coaching experience serving as an assistant coach with 417 Juniors Volleyball.
Coach Kenney said, "I am excited to work with the players on improving their skill sets and help them grow a love for the game!"

We would like to welcome Sierra Chew as the new Stockton High School volleyball assistant coach. Coach Chew is also a Stockton alum and had a decorated athletic career. After high school, she went on to play college volleyball at Benedictine College. She brings in a wealth of coaching experience holding positions at Benedictine as an assistant junior varsity student coach, as well as stops at St. Benedicts Middle School and Maur-Hill Mount Academy High School. When asked what she's looking forward to about coaching, Coach Chew said, "I'm super excited to be back in my home town gym where my love for the game started. I can't wait to work with the girls and coach alongside Coach Abercrombie."

Thank you HS JAG students for your compassion towards others by writing a grant and receiving money to purchase hats and gloves to give away to Stockton Elementary students. What a great event!
This past Saturday, we competed at the Buffalo Invitational. We ended up having two students break to finals. Jayden Mason placed 2nd in Prose Reading, and Abbi Burres placed 3rd in Original Oratory. There are also four students that broke 100 NSDA points for the first time. Congratulations!
We would like to congratulate and announce Chelsea Abercrombie as our next Stockton High School Head Volleyball Coach.
Coach Abercrombie served as the high school assistant volleyball coach this past season and has previously coached basketball within the district. She also brings in experience with several years of coaching club volleyball.
As a high school athlete at Stockton, Coach Abercrombie won state championships in basketball in 2001, 2003, and 2004, as well as a 3rd place finish in 2002. She then went on to play college volleyball and earn her degree from Southwest Baptist University. When asked about the opportunity ahead she said, "I am incredibly excited to lead this amazing group of female athletes. We will work hard, push our limits, and achieve great things together."

If you have not been aware, PowerSchool was involved in a data breach that impacted users across the world. We received official notification this morning that our district was involved.
I have provided a link from PowerSchool with information.
Stockton R -1 does not host our live PowerSchool server therefore we are considered a third party. PowerSchool will be notifying those that have been impacted by this breach. Not all users have been impacted. They will be supporting you through credit monitoring.

JAG Students visit with some of the nursing home residents.
Court-warming has been cancelled tonight. There will not be a game, ceremony, or dance. The court-warming ceremony has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 14. The dance will be made up at a later date.
