Dear Parents and Guardians, Please complete the following survey to help us in developing plans for opening school in the Fall. At this time, we are working on a number of ways to provide education services to students in a safe manner. While we all hope school looks the same as it has in the past, we need to prepare for a number of scenarios. The information provided in this survey will help us formulate those plans. When completing the survey, please do so with your student(s). We would like to have feedback about our strengths and weaknesses during virtual learning at the end of the school year. There is also a comment section at the bottom of the survey and we encourage you to provide information you feel is important. This information will help us make local decisions along with the guidance provided by the state and the local health department. Please have the survey completed by Monday, July 6th. Thank you for your time as we prepare for next year. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc5kLu3X5LvaFaHfjT7QIaO-evwxEJX72Br3M01BSQ1tjBoTw/viewform

Class of 2020 Seniors and Parents: After watching the weather forecast through early Sunday morning, and taking into account how much rain we have already received, the decision has been made to move graduation from the football field to the high school gymnasium at 2pm. Doors will be open at 1:30 for students/parents/guests to enter. Students please go directly to the band room upon arrival. Students will be issued a mask and gloves to wear during the ceremony. Because of this weather related change in location, I want to stress the importance of following the “6 Guest Rule” for graduation and that guests bring their tickets with them. The gym has been separated into seating areas of 6 already. Please have all of your guests arrive and sit together to help maximize the social distancing space we have available. I understand that not everyone will be able to attend due to the 6 guest limit as in the past but hopefully everyone will follow the guidelines so that graduation can be remembered for the right reasons. Family members, friends, community members and staff members who are not able to attend due to the 6 guest limit can view the event on the Stockton R-1 School Facebook page through live feed. For everyone’s health safety and peace of mind, I strongly urge you to take advantage of this option. If you are sick, do not feel well, are running a fever or are among those who are at higher risk of contracting COVID-19, please stay home for your health safety and the safety of others. Once the ceremony is over, please exit the gym immediately. Only by adhering to these guidelines are we able to hold graduation in this manner at this time and for these students. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. I have attached pictures of how the gym seating will be identified so that everyone can see the precautions already taken to assist in social distancing protocol. Mr. Postlewait, SHS Principal
