Stockton MS is proud to announce our February Staff Member of the Month: Mrs. Sherice Norman! Some words from her fellow staff members: Mrs. Norman is a dedicated teacher. Her students' education is very important to her and it shows in her efforts to make learning fun and meaningful. Sherice is respected by her students as reflected in how hard they work to make her proud in their performances. Her kind nature and smiling face are a joy to have about the school campus each day. She is great for our students, does a great job in the classroom and is just overall a great member of our staff. Mrs. Norman cares very deeply for each of our MS students and shows it by sharing a smile and an encouraging word. We will miss hearing her make those morning announcements! Thank you Mrs. Norman for all the years of service to Stockton MS!!

Feb SMOM
Congratulations to our February MS Students of the Month! The character word of the month for February was MOTIVATION. 5TH - Briley Bolte Briley is a very motivated young lady who strives to do her very best. She makes plans for completing her assignments and plans out when she has time to do her other daily tasks. As the year has progressed, Briley has improved at prioritizing her assignments, and she uses her time wisely. Also, Briley motivates her classmates to do their very best. If her class is complaining, she brings them around and shows them the bright side. If students are struggling, she is willing to help her fellow peers and give them some words of encouragement. She is a friend to all her classmates and is always willing to lend them a hand. Her helpfulness, cheerfulness, and positive attitude are very influential to her fellow fifth graders, and she is a positive and motivational role model. When given any assignment, Briley is motivated to get started immediately. She uses her work time both efficiently and effectively. If she doesn't understand something, she always asks for help. 6TH - Prairie Wendt Prairie is a great example of a motivated student. She shows an enthusiasm for learning that is inspiring to those around her. Prairie seeks opportunities to excel and doesn't have the words, ‘I can't’ in her vocabulary. She gives her best effort in her assignments and works well with all students. Prairie is friendly, outgoing, and fun-loving. She also has a contagious smile. 7TH - Micah Manes Micah is always extremely motivated! Sometimes he can even be a little overboard, but I love his enthusiasm, his energy, the way he pushes in to engage with others and even with teachers. You can always depend on Micah to keep you on top of your game. This student is very conscientious regarding most aspects of his life, but especially about school and the effect he has on those around him. 8TH - Lydia Bahr This student is an excellent partner. She helps to motivate those who do not readily engage in their work to get excited about a task. She doesn't take over or make her classmates feel like they can't do something. Instead, she helps them understand the material and the assignment -- she is a true motivator!

This Dr. Crawford with Stockton. Stockton and EPCO in Bolivar is closed today Wednesday February 23rd. The Weather Center is telling us that we are to start seeing weather around noon today. While it’s minimal, anything that falls will cause road impacts. Our last bus route needs an hour and a half to run. My option was to have school until noon today but this will be a huge gamble with your child’s safety and I just can’t take that chance.

Stockton MS is proud to announce Mrs. Trish Boyles as our January Staff Member of the Month. Here are comments from fellow staff members: Trish is a hard working teacher dedicated to helping all her students excel. She is always looking for ways to improve her teaching and to help all her students have success. Trish desires to help her students, not only to succeed in the classroom, but she tries to assist her students who are in need of basic necessities. She is a driving force in the middle school, and she is the type of person who isn't afraid to jump in and get the work done. Truly, Trish is an inspiration to the entire middle school and a great addition to our team! A Poem for the “Teacher of the Month” By Lyndzie O’Keefe Her classroom is inviting. Her lessons are interactive. Her teaching practice is introspective. Her ease in the classroom seems simply instinctive; Even her Google Classroom is downright inspirational. Her opinions are pleasantly indignant. Her mentorship (and friendship) is invaluable. Her feedback is insightful. Her approaches are ingenious; Even her simple emails are instructional. Her bravery allows her to handle the insurmountable. Her passion is incendiary. Her mind is inquisitive. Her drive is insistent; Even when she feels inundated. Her desire to understand leaves her investigative. Her connections to students leaves her invested. Her longing for learning leaves her involved. Her vision for a better future is infectious; Even the notion of her absence is inconceivable. Her effort toward improvement is incomparable. Her every move is intentional. Her personality may seem introverted. Her presence in the building is indispensable; Even her venting sessions are insightful. She is Trish Boyles. And she is incredible. Indubitably. Thank you Mrs. Boyle's for all the you do for Stockton MS!
