I have just talked with the National Weather Service and the forecast for morning does not look promising. We are getting reports of freezing roads in the southwest part of the district already and projections for morning include lots of ice. Therefore, we will not have school on Thursday, February 7th. The day will be made up on February 25th. Due to the late hour, the voice call will not go out until morning. Please share!

Take a look at these hard workers! The 3rd Grade Winter Garden Club is renovating the area into a multi-purpose garden/learning space. They received a generous Community Foundation Grant and have some amazing ideas! Since they are needing to stay within a budget and are big on reusing when possible, they wanted to ask if you have any of these items sitting in your garage or yard you'd be willing to donate: *Landscape timbers 8ft length *Bird houses *Shepherds hooks *Large outdoor thermometer *Rain gauge *Sundial *Black chalkboard paint If so, please email cprice@stockton.k12.mo.us or contact the elementary office. https://youtu.be/BKCWvwHQKNA

Today our 4th graders became surgeons at the Whitesell Hospital. Their classroom transformation even included a surgeon name tag, face mask, and pair gloves for each student. After focusing on non-fiction text features this past week, they had to operate on their own patients (magazines) and find the text features that were needed before "stitching them up." Way to go 4th graders!
