October's Stockton Middle School students of the month for the character word adventurous are 5th grade Sky-Lynn Kasco, 6th grade - Ryan Finch, 7th grade - James Flora, and 8th grade - Hailey Trowbridge.
These students received a $50 Walmart gift card courtesy of the Stockton Sertoma Club.
5TH - Sky-Lynn Kasco
Sky is a very adventurous student! She is always ready for a challenge and is not afraid to try out new ways of learning. Sky is always ready for the chance to learn something new and to help others with their fears of new things.
6TH - Ryan Finch
Ryan is the type of student who always goes out of his comfort zone to volunteer his time and in class. He is always actively seeking new challenges.
Ryan is one of those great students who is not afraid to be adventurous! He will put himself out there - into the unknown - by volunteering to do a new task, go first (when most others want to go last), share his opinion, take a chance, or accept a challenge! He is courageous, courteous, and fun to have in class.
Ryan is a fun-loving adventurous type of person. He is willing to put himself out there and try new things, volunteer to go first (when others are asking to go last), contribute his thoughts and opinions, lead a group, and take a chance and not be controlled by fear. Ryan's enthusiasm for life is contagious - it is very difficult for anyone to be around him and not feel his energy!
7TH - James Flora
James is funny and just brings a little joy everywhere he is. He works hard. He steps out there even when he is not completely comfortable and gets the job done! He is enthusiastic and prods other students along. He makes life an adventure just by constantly moving forward and encouraging others to do the same.
James is always willing to go out of his comfort zone in class. I can always count on him to volunteer to read or answer questions in class, even when no one else wants to answer.
8TH - Hailey Trowbridge
Hailey was interested in trying Cross Country this year and got a late start joining the team. Even though she was nervous about running and felt that she was too slow, she jumped in and stuck with it all season. Running can be hard, but trying something new can be even harder! Proud of her for not giving up!

Stockton High School Spirit Week

Feelin' Groovy Fall Book Fair is here! There's a few new things for this year's fair, please read below!
*Online shopping starts TODAY! Follow the link to our homepage below and you can start shopping the fair!
*Dates: October 27th to November 3rd, full schedule is posted on our homepage, just click the link below.
*Due to social distancing, this fair is only open IN PERSON to students, teachers, and school faculty.
*We now have a VIRTUAL 360 FAIR! Since only your child is allowed in person, Scholastic has created a fun, easier way to shop the fair. Click our homepage below, click Virtual 360 Fair, and you will be able to enter a book fair room, browse the shelves up close, and even click on books to read more about them! Orders placed will still benefit our school and ship directly to your house.
*Sign your child up for eWallet! eWallet offers you complete control of funds that your child can spend at the fair-you can add or take away funds and set limits. Any money not spent automatically goes back to your card. It's a fantastic way to make sure your child doesn't lose money you send with them. When you sign your child up for eWallet, I will automatically see their wallet on the register and their funds will be available. You don't need to send them with anything or print anything! Click the homepage link and scroll down to the bottom to eWallet to sign up. It's set up in just minutes!
*The new Diary of a Wimpy Kid "Off The Deep End" book is available for pre-order at $9.99. Your child can purchase the book at the fair, and I will deliver it to them as soon as they are shipped to the fair. They SHOULD have them before the fair ends, but sometimes it's shortly after.
*When you browse the Virtual 360 Fair and see something you want me to set aside for your child, feel free to text me at (417) 955-1437 and I will do my best to accommodate anything you need!
*We will be practicing social distancing and using face masks, handwashing, and hand sanitizer throughout the fair. Our goal is to keep your child safe and still bring the joy of the fair to them!
