Congratulations to our April MS Students of the Month. The character word of the month for April was FLEXIBLE.
5TH - Taylor Graves
Taylor is great at going with the flow! She always handles changes in class schedules and assignments well. She adapts well to working with different classmates and does an excellent job working alongside her peers who struggle. Taylor is understanding in all situations and willing to with the flow with a smile on her face. Her maturity allows her to be flexible through whatever life throws at her.
6TH - Leighton Rader
Leighton comes to school each day with a positive attitude and a friendly smile for everyone. No matter what is going on around her, she remains kind and adapts to the circumstances. Leighton is very caring and is willing to stop what she is doing to help a fellow classmate. When doing so, she does not get off track or fall behind in her own tasks. If you need something done, Leighton is one of those students you can depend on to do the job. She doesn't stress out, she simply asks questions and does her best.
7TH - Kelly Stockton
Kelly is a wonderful student! Anytime that we make changes in class, she is right on board to go along with the change. If she is gone for the day, she is always checking Google Classroom to make up what she is missing out on in class that day. I really appreciate her effort in using Google Classroom to learn even when she can't be here in person. Kelly took on a new instrument this semester to help fill out the band's sound. She always maintains a good attitude.
8TH - Hannah Black
Hannah is a fabulous person! She has had to be flexible so many times in her personal life and she demonstrates it well within the classroom. Hannah is always ready to work or help in any situation that comes up.

Mr. Aaron Ash, Sac Osage Electric Cooperative, spoke to the SHS Physical Science and Ecology students on Tuesday, May 11. He spoke about energy demand, ways to conserve energy, why energy usage has declined since 1950. He also gave a demonstration about power line safety and the dangers associated with electricity.
Pictured is Mr. Ash demonstrating why one should never exit a vehicle that is directly exposed to live wires.

Congratulations, Jessica Rickman, for being our May Stockton Middle School Staff Member of the Month! Here are some comments from her fellow staff members:
Mrs. Rickman has been a fabulous addition to our full-time staff at Stockton Middle School this year. She is helpful, flexible, efficient, and is great with the students. She always has a "can do" attitude that is very much appreciated!
Mrs. Rickman is a great resource in the resource room! If students are struggling with an assignment, she is always willing to contact the teacher to know exactly how to help the student. She is greatly appreciated.
She truly works hard with our 5th graders. I can count on her throughout the day when help is needed. She is very reliable.
Mrs. Rickman is always busy helping every hour and can pick up the slack on any given day. She steps up and goes above and beyond with the students.
Thank you, Mrs. Rickman, for all that you do for Stockton Middle School.
